Hello, I'm Alex.

I'm a data and AI person in the advertising industry.

I'm Chief Data Officer at Wunderman Thompson, part of WPP. I use data to make better predictions and decisions, that lead to more effective communications. I use R, SQL, PHP, sometimes Python, and more Excel than I care to admit. I draw a lot of diagrams.

I've got MA and M.Phil. degrees from Girton College, Cambridge; and a PG.Dip. in Artificial Intelligence for Business from the Said Business School, Oxford. I wrote my final dissertation on the use of AI methods to reverse information asymmetry in online ad auctions.

I've worked at the Oxford English Dictionary, New Philanthropy Capital, The Open University, Ogilvy, Kantar, Fabric (WPP Digital), Maxus (WPP/GroupM) and Wavemaker. See my CV for details.
